Claude Lorrain
French 1604-1682
Using a stand of trees as the central focus of the composition, Claude includes signs and figures in the foreground to tell a story. Claude was a seventeenth century French artist known for his harmonious, idealized landscapes I was inspired by Claude when I visited Grand Rapids Art Museum and took this picture. This picture reflects myself. I have come all the way from Nepal to study at cornerstone. The tower represents Cornerstone and I am like that tree which is empty. I am here to learn and the light of HOPE signs because this is the place where you can learn with a heart and mind of a Jesus Christ.
