The word I chose was freedom. Some might mistake the image
to portray “faith” or “hope.” While these elements can be found this way, it
wasn’t the particular goal. The chain was specifically broken to show freedom.
The tattoo of the cross is the obvious reason for the freedom; our chains our
gone and we are set free through Christ. The key represents how Christ has set
us free. The chain is completely wrapped around the arm and the hand to show
how without Christ, we could be in bondage through sin. The chain is also shown
to be dangling to support the idea of freedom.
