 Moment Imaging: Seth Foster is an amazing photographer. He is a great guy to work with, outgoing, likes to have fun. He is a follower of Jesus and captures the essence of God's creation in his adventures. Seth's images are nice and crisp capturing beauty of the outdoors.

Assignment 1: Favorite photographer // Sierra Flack

I was scrolling through Instagram about a month ago when I came upon this photographer. Tanner Wendell Stewart is a professional photographer based in Seattle, WA. Not only does he work for companies, Stewart does a lot of ministry work as well. I picked him as my favorite because of the wide range of work he does and how amazing they are. Landscape photography is one my favorites to shoot and I would love to travel one day as a photographer.

Assessment one-Saiko Jawo-smalla: My favorite photographer

usually its biased to like your friends photo, however I have known Josiah Maat for a long time and I see how much work he puts into every photo. He captures so much depth and mystery in his photos which is one of the reasons why he is my favorite photographer. It is amazing to see the progression of the professionalism within his photos as the years have gone by which is another reason why I love going through his photos.

Assignment 1: Favorite photographer // Elijah Wyant

Being a fan of National Geographic and all the photographers there, one really stood out to me, Pete Muller.
Pete Muller is such an interesting and brave photograpgrer that really gets into the hearts of issues like, human rights, war, and not too long ago ebola. Unfortanatly I couldnt find my favorte picture he has taken of child soldiers in Ukrane being trained but this photo definitly speaks as much if not more than that one. I will be linking his website where you can find many of his photos and some amazing stories to go with them. I encorgae you to check him out and see why he's won so many awards for his photography.

Assignment 1: Favorite Photographer // Luke Skowronek

I was scrolling through Facebook one day over the summer, and I found this article about this photographer. His name, Chris Burkard. I was instantly drawn to his images because of how incredible they are. He is living the life I wish to live in the future, that of a traveling photographer. He travels all around the world and documents it through pictures, and incredible ones at that.

Kyle Huber - Instagram Sensation 
While surfing through Instagram several months ago I stumbled upon a photographer who was running #turtletuesday. Being a sucker for turtles, I followed the hashtag and found so many amazing turtle shots which then led to his Instagram and found so many more amazing photos. The photographer's name is Kyle Huber and he does a lot of interesting shadow, reflection, and perspective photos.

Assignment 1: Favorite Photographer, Julia Stevens

                               

                                     Anne Geddes: 

I've always admired the work of the well-known Australian photographer Anne Geddes. Most people seem to associate her with taking newborn photography to the extreme with outrageous costuming and props, photographing babies and young children dressed as flowers, vegetables, and fairies. This most likely comes from the theme of her debut coffee table book, Down in the Garden. Not as many people are familiar with her other, more understated and simplistic works, namely her following books Pure and Beginnings. Beginnings is probably my favorite book of images. Like Down in the Garden, Beginnings celebrates the relationship between nature and the new life of a human baby. Unlike the bright, whimsical feel Geddes established in Down in the Garden, in which the nature-baby relationship is represented through capturing the image of a baby laying on a pumpkin, or dressed as a sunflower, Beginnings takes another approach. Through comparing the swell of a pregnant stomach to that of a bud, about to bloom, or placing a cracked shell over a newborn baby, the photographs vulnerably represent the anticipation, and bursting forth of new life, as seen in nature and in our human life cycles. I love looking at her images because they inspire me in their visual representation of universally significant themes. They are simple yet they speak to so much. I aspire to create images that can do the same thing. As a photographer I most admire Anne Geddes for her complete commitment to her art. She isn't a photographer in the sense of serving others in the traditional way, I.E. through photographing their weddings, families, or even newborns. At this point in her career she brings visions in reality, setting up meaningful portraits to offer the world. Isn't that what artist do?
