The reason I did black and white is to show absence of flaws. Flaws are able to be seen in the light and when you make things black it white it blends in. Black and white does it a good job and making things seem simple and amazing like a fire. Colors that you don't want to see layered become loud and bright or quite and black.

Mackenzie Martin - Song Assignment

The song I chose was "I Can Only Imagine" by MercyMe.
Lyrics:

I can only imagine what it will be like
When I walk, by your side
I can only imagine what my eyes will see
When you face is before me
I can only imagine
I can only imagine
Surrounded by You glory
What will my heart feel
Will I dance for you Jesus
Or in awe of You be still
Will I stand in your presence
Or to my knees will I fall
Will I sing hallelujah
Will I be able to speak at all
I can only imagine
I can only imagine
I can only imagine when that day comes
When I find myself standing in the Son
I can only imagine when all I would do is forever
Forever worship You
I can only imagine
I can only imagine

This song is about imagining the meeting of God. I tried to capture the awe we will be in when we stand in front Him. We'll greet Him with open arms and love.

Song:
"Manchester" by Kishi Bashi

This song is about a guy who writes a novel, but can't figure out the ending. He then falls in love with a girl, and the ending becomes clear. One of the more prominent lines in the song is in the chorus:
"All the streets are warm and grey."

One More Light-Linkin Park
If they say
Who cares if one more light goes out?
In a sky of a million stars
It flickers, flickers
Who cares when someone's time runs out?
If a moment is all we are
We're quicker, quicker
Who cares if one more light goes out?
Well I do

If I could use a telescope
Would I see a brighter sky?
On darker nights, I cannot cope
And the rain makes me lose all hope

But when the light comes through the clouds
And the stormy Earth is once again at peace
The wondrous sight and heaven sound
Brings my tears' and heart's release

If I could search beyond the stars
Would you be there to guide my hand?
And when the day reveals the scars
Upon the ground on which I stand

I need you here right by my side
To laugh again when life gets dark
The day will come to take the tide
And sail away to disembark

But when the light comes through the clouds
And the stormy Earth is once again at peace
The wondrous sight and heaven sound
Brings my tears' and heart's release

Jenny Tran- Song Lyrics

"Em Gai Mua"
By Huong Tram
Rain washed away the sun, slipping on sadness
Pains cut deep in my lips, I’m so desperate
Our first time in the rain my heart raced for your glance
Love built up by the rain I realized

So perfectly we match but no we’re not in love
“So what am I to you?” just let me know babe
So helpless as I was when I heard what you said
That you’d never love me in the same way

[Chorus:]
Could you stop worryin’ ‘bout me when I’m still in love
Though it’s not getting better when you’re not around
I can’t help but say goodbye, moving on with a smile
Leaving behind those times, those feelings that you gave

Looking up to the sky of love I made for you What I see is a sky with dark clouds in a storm
Young buds waiting underneath, like I used to be
What’s left after the rain is this cold pure soul

Amanda Walicki - Photograped Song

Song: Tell Your Heart to Beat Again by Danny Gokey
Tell Your Heart to Beat Again is all about how though trials may come, one needs to keep pushing on, because God is there and is going to keep working in our lives as our stories are not complete. With the trials I've faced recently, this song has helped me continue to push forward and I decided to share it with all of you!

 F/10, ISO: 800, Shutter: 1/500
F/3.5, ISO: 1600, Shutter: 1/60
These two pictures represent the lyrics, "You're shattered, like you've never been before. The life you knew, in a thousand pieces on the floor." I lost everything in our house fire on October 15, 2017.

F/5, ISO: 1600, Shutter: 1/1000
This picture represents the lyrics, "'Cause love sees farther than you ever could. In this moment heaven's working everything out for your good." This little boy has been my reminder that God has everything under control and that while my world is crashing down around me, this little boy loves me.
F/4.5, ISO: 400, Shutter: 1/125
This final picture represents the lyrics, "Let every heartbreak and scar be a picture that reminds you who has carried you this far." I used this image of my guitar, because music has been something that has carried me along my journey in life. Music says the things I would never have the courage too and it provides me with a support as I can relate to songs.
