The Details

Sometimes something small can be a thing of beauty.  Sometimes something small can be overlooked.  Beauty is everywhere.  Sometimes you have to look at something small.

Beauty In The Ordinary - Sydney

This strange sport I participate in has caught my eye in so many ways. I'm glad I decided to capture some of the things I've seen while running that grabbed my attention.

ArtPrize: Water

Instead of the usual way I look at Artprize, I decided to look closer and find a theme or something more specific than "Art in Grand Rapids." This year I saw Artprize as being about water and its different uses and relations. As I was walking along I noticed all of the art that was using water or fish. So I created these pictures and put them in this specific order. The fish at the top swims into the second picture; the third picture is the sun setting over the water, and the last picture is at night after the sun sets.

Color As Symbolism- Amanda Vasicek

I chose to use green as a symbol for a journey and yellow for light. With these three photos, I showed a girls journey for the light.
