Liliana Merida-DOF assignment

Using a low aperture made the background out of focus creating a shallow DOF.

Victoria Pickens-Class assignment DOF

ISO: 100 F/5.6 Shutter 1/200

ISO: 400 F/5 Shutter 1/500

Both of these display a shallow depth of Field. Although I was far away from them in a very open space I was able to use aperture to make it appear as if they were in a smaller space and helps focus on my subject.

Redmond Thornhill-In Class Assignment DOF

This can be seen as an example of depth of field based on the focus of the pitcher and how the camera is not focused on him however it is focused on him and everything around him.

For this photo, I was very close to the first knot which created a shallow DOF for the rest of the photo. This caused the rest of the knots along the bar to appear out of focus and create that depth.

Anna Lavery- DOF In-Class Assignment

This can be seen as an example of Depth of Field based on the focus of the word "cab" on the rock and of the rock itself.

Lauren Peters - In Class Assignment DOF

I used a low aperture as well as getting close to my subjects to make the DOF shallow, making the closer objects in the pictures in focus and the farther objects out of focus.

With being a distance away I was able to capture this moment by using a wide DOF. I used a wide aperture as well.

Madalyn Southards - In Class Assignment DOF

Shutter 1/200 Aperture F8 ISO 800
Being only about a foot away from the subject, I created a shallow DOF. The grass closer and farther away from the camera than the subject is blurry, while the subject is in focus.

Using aperture to decrease the depth of focus, I was able to blur out the background and keep my subject in focus

of everything in relation to my subject.

Depth of Field- In Class Assignment- Isabelle Smit

This photo demonstrates depth of field with the use of aperture. By using a low aperture, there is a shallow depth of field. This only allows the first rock to be in view, while the rest of the scene is blurred.

I took pictures of things in nature because for me nature inspires me to do what I do.
One way to define is that Nature is the interdependent collection of organisms that live in an intricate and fragile codependent relationship.  I attempted to show this through catching the detail in the plants to so how complex it is.
